About The Role:

rSTAR Technologies is seeking a senior, hands-on Python developer to serve as a technical cornerstone of our Generative AI practice. We are building enterprise-grade, intelligent solutions for our customers, primarily on the Azure platform. This is a role for an ‘implementer’—a technical leader who excels at writing clean, production-ready Python, architecting end-to-end AI solutions, and mentoring other developers by example.

Must Have:

8+ years of professional software development experience with Python as your primary language.
Demonstrable, hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions using OpenAI APIs (or equivalent LLMs).
Significant experience with the Azure cloud, specifically Azure OpenAI Service and other Azure AI services (e.g., Azure AI Search).
Experience with other clouds (e.g., AWS) and LLM services is welcome; however, a willingness and ability to quickly assimilate the Azure ecosystem is required.
Evident experience designing and implementing RAG pipelines and working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Azure AI Search).
Comprehensive understanding of prompt engineering techniques.
Experience building and consuming REST APIs for web applications.
Prior experience in web development (e.g., back-end with Flask/Django or familiarity with front-end components).
Exhibit excellent communication, problem-solving, and architectural skills.

Good to Have:

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices on Azure.
Experience with other Python AI/ML libraries (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Scikit-learn).
Previous experience in a client-facing or consulting role.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Azure or OpenAI certifications are highly advantageous.
