Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Technical Lead with strong hands-on experience in SAP ECC development and integration to lead the SAP-side implementation of a large-scale enterprise integration initiative.

The role is focused on enabling end-to-end integration of order management and supply chain data (e.g., schedule agreements data, contracts, forecasts, deliveries, inventory) from SAP ECC into Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud through MuleSoft, with SAP being the data source. The ideal candidate will own SAP deliverables, including IDoc configuration, function module/BAPI enhancements, RFC setup, CPI monitoring, and coordination with business and integration stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead SAP development and integration activities including IDoc enhancements (ORDER05, DELFOR02, DELVRY07 etc.) and custom order types (ZE14, LZM, TAM etc.).
Design, develop, and enhance ABAP components including Function Modules, BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, and custom reports/forms.
Configure ALE, RFC destinations (SM59), partner profiles, and distribution models for SAP integrations.
Collaborate with business and functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP technical solutions.
Map SAP ECC tables (e.g., VBAK, VBAP, LIKP, VBBE, etc.) to IDoc segments, with support for custom fields and validations.
Monitor and troubleshoot interface flows using SAP CPI/PI/PO and tools like WE02, WE05, and WE19.
Lead or participate in end-to-end SAP project delivery including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Guide and mentor junior consultants and coordinate work with offshore/onshore delivery teams.
Manage incident resolution, change requests, and performance tuning across SAP technical components.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and training materials.
Ensure quality standards, project timelines, and SAP best practices are consistently followed.

Must Have:

Design, develop, and unit test custom ABAP objects (reports, function modules, enhancements/BADIs, user-exits).
Hands-on with IDoc development & monitoring, message control (NAST), and output routines/requirements.
Experience in Sales Order/Agreement, Delivery, and Billing flows; understanding of pricing/user exits.
Build and support SD/OTC integrations across Sales Order, Sales Agreement, Delivery, Invoice, Delfor/ DelJIT processes.
Configure/extend output determination & routines (pricing/NAST/condition records) and routing logic for EDI.
Develop and support IDoc interfaces (inbound/outbound): DEBMAS, ORDERS, DELFOR/DELJIT, DELVRY, INVOIC; handle extensions, segments, partner profiles, ports, distribution models.
Implement and troubleshoot proxy/web service integrations (ABAP proxy, SOAMANAGER) where required.
Perform RCA and defect fixes. Support cutovers, transport, and job scheduling.
Produce technical specs, unit test evidence, and deployment notes; collaborate with SFDC/MuleSoft teams.
Strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, IDoc enhancements, BAPI, RFCs, ALE, and data conversions (BDC, LSMW).
Experience with SAP CPI or SAP PI/PO for monitoring and supporting integration scenarios.
Functional understanding of SAP SD, MM, PP, FI modules and integration touchpoints.
Proven leadership in managing SAP technical delivery teams and stakeholder coordination.
Solid knowledge of SAP development tools (SE80, SE11, ST22, SM59, WE19, etc.).

Qualification & Skills:

8+ years of SAP ECC technical experience with at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years SAP ABAP with strong SD/OTC domain knowledge.
