Job Summary:
rSTAR is seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Partner to lead strategic client engagements in the Utility industry. This role requires a strong blend of industry domain knowledge, relationship management, and IT services expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key utility accounts, identifying new opportunities, and driving business outcomes for our clients through technology and consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients in the utility sector (electricity, water, gas).
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with client stakeholders to understand their business goals and challenges.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver complex IT services including digital transformation, application development, cloud migration, and consulting.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and support proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure high-quality execution and customer success.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to the utility sector.
  • Meet and exceed revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT services, consulting, or client management roles.
  • Deep understanding of the Utility industry, including operational models, digital priorities, and regulatory landscape.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large utility accounts.
  • Strong understanding of IT service delivery, including digital, cloud, data analytics, and enterprise solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with major utility companies in North America, Europe, or APAC.
  • Familiarity with platforms like SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities, or grid modernization technologies.
  • Ability to think strategically while driving operational excellence.
